Karla García

Finance and Operations Assistant

Karla supports the operational and financial administration of SIF's CAMY Fund.

Karla began her career in the private sector at companies like Corporative Cinemex and Quest Diagnostics. She provided administrative support to customers and suppliers using customer relationship management systems to create loyalty and marketing programs.

In 2014, she transitioned into administrative and financial management for civil society organizations in Mexico and Central America, with a specific focus in areas of biodiversity, climate change and education.

As a Finance Coordinator at the Rainforest Alliance, Karla collaborated on the administration of acquisitions of public, transparent and efficient processes to ensure transparency and accountability. Through collaborative and effective efforts, she planned and executed budgets and financial reports for partners and donors, and participated in projects such as the World Bank’s “Dedicated Grant Mechanism for Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities” (DGM) and USAID’s “Markets for a Sustainable Future”.

Karla holds a bachelor’s degree in Administration from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She also possesses certificates in Marketing from UNAM and Art History from the University of the Cloister of Sor Juana in Mexico.

Karla has completed several skill-building trainings, including a workshop financed by the World Bank on Procurement and Financial Management for project leaders.
