Based on the migration policies implemented by the Donald Trump administration to curb migration in the United States, with a special focus on migration from its southern border, this study focuses on the various migration cooperation agreements signed between the U.S. and the Northern Triangle of Central America and how the implemented strategy has not only disrespected human rights and the norms governing the right to asylum, but is also contrary to international public policies.
