Olga Vnodchenko 

Senior Grants and Program Officer

Olga is responsible for all aspects of SIF’s grantmaking process and its portfolio of grants, the Centroamérica Adelante leadership program and the Independent Journalism Fund. She works closely with leadership to develop and execute grantmaking and program strategy. 

A native of Ukraine, Olga is dedicated to assisting vulnerable populations and understanding the relationship between public policies and realities lived by citizens on the ground.

Prior to joining SIF, Olga worked in immigration law at firms in Seattle, WA and Oakland, CA where she assisted clients in pursuing various forms of immigration relief including asylum. She liaised with local law enforcement agencies to help victims of violent crime and oversaw case progress for hundreds of clients. Outside of immigration, Olga has worked with local non-profits and key stakeholders to secure funding, improve service delivery and lead program design and evaluation.

Olga holds a Master of Public Administration with a specialization in Non-Profit Management from the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Policy and Governance and is a Marc Lindenberg Endowment for Excellence Fellow. Olga earned Bachelor of the Arts degrees in both Political Science and Spanish at the same university and completed a one-year study abroad program in Granada, Spain. She is fluent in Spanish and speaks English and Russian.

At SIF, I am fortunate to do my small part to channel resources and other support to our driven, committed local partners in Central America and Mexico and allies in the US to support the wellbeing of the region and its people.
