Cinthia Arguijo

Development Assistant

Cinthia supports the Development and Fundraising Department in the creation and implementation of fundraising strategies and the identification of potential donors, and supports the foundation´s programs and initiatives.

Cinthia is a young Honduran-Guatemalan who has focused her work experience on development cooperation. She began her career at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Honduras where she assisted the work of diplomatic officers and the head of mission, in strengthening the ties of friendship between Honduras and South Korea through the development of cooperation projects, assistance in scholarship programs and cultural promotion activities, as well as various consular formalities and procedures.

She later developed her experience at Good Neighbors Guatemala, an international non-profit organization where she served first as a volunteer in the Social Development division and then as a Design, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in community development projects; further she focused her work as a Fundraising Officer and later as Manager of the Marketing Division. Her work contributed to strengthening the organization´s branding, formulating fundraising strategies, writing grant proposals, managing local revenue, and structuring the local volunteering and sponsorship program.

Cinthia received a scholarship from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to study for a Master´s degree in International Trade and Economic Cooperation with focus on Korean Economy and Development Cooperation at the Graduate School of Pan-Pacific Studies at Kyung Hee University. She holds a Bachelor´s degree in International Relation with a concentration in Diplomacy and International Cooperation from the Central American Technological University (UNITEC) in Honduras, with honorable mention Magna Cum Laude. She also holds the “Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)” certificación from the Project Management Institute.

She speaks Spanish as her native language and English as a second language.

I’m enthusiastic about providing dynamic support to the development and implementation of strategies that ultimately empower people. It’s an honor to be part of SIF and collaborate in the transformation of communities in Central America and Mexico, using all of the necessary tools to create a more just society.
