Summary

The report, “Acts of Violence in Nicaragua between April 18 and May 30, 2018”, was prepared by the International Group of Independent Experts (GIEI), an entity established by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights; release of the report in Nicaragua was banned by the government of Daniel Ortega. The report will be presented at FIU on Thursday, February 7 at 6:30pm (EST). Organized by the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center and Seattle International Foundation, this event will offer an in-depth discussion of its content as well as an analysis of the state of affairs in Nicaragua today.
