The city of Tegucigalpa will host the 9th Annual Central America Donors Forum from October 23 to 25, 2019.
This year will be the first time that CADF is held in Honduras and it is being developed in collaboration with strategic partners and sponsors. The announcement was made on Tuesday, October 8 in Tegucigalpa by the Seattle International Foundation (SIF), the Honduran Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility (FUNDAHRSE), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cortez (CCIC), the Ford Foundation and Millicom/Tigo.
SIF has held the Central America Donors Forum (CADF) for nine years and in that time it has become one of the principal multi-sectoral spaces to discuss the challenges and opportunities of Central America and generate alliances. For three days, it brings together representatives of the international philanthropic community with more than 400 business, government and civil society leaders from Central America.
The central theme of 2019 is “Progress at the Crossroads” and the tracks include the democratic agenda in Central America, mitigating migration and emerging youth, feminist, student and environmental movements.
CADF 2019 will open on Wednesday, October 23 with the Summit on Corruption and Economic Development and over three days it will hold more than 40 conferences, panels, workshops and guided tours in which more than 120 leading experts and speakers will participate.
