2019 posed a series of challenges and opportunities for Central America. Given that, SIF worked hard to create positive change and continue bolstering our commitment to the region.
In 2019, SIF awarded more than 80 grants in Central America and Mexico to champion good governance and rule of law, promote equity, strengthen civil society and mitigate forced migration.
Through our different programs, the Foundation held numerous meetings to discuss Central American realities, facilitated leadership development, and supported independent journalism. In addition, we undertook a rebranding process that culminated in the launch of our new logo and website to better reflect our steadfast pursuit of partnerships for progress and change in Central America.
