SIF announces call for applications under Round 2 of Global Program
The Seattle International Foundation (SIF) will begin accepting applications under the 2012 Global Program on September 1, 2012. The Global Program (small grants for local organizations) supports and fosters Washington state based organizations working internationally. SIF is interested in development projects in all regions of the world.
This round of the Global Program will give preference to organizations based in the greater Puget Sound region whose work directly impacts the lives of women and girls in the developing world. Organizations based outside of Washington State are not eligible to apply. Please review our 2008-2012 grantee portfolios for more information on past grantees.
The program is open to 501(c)3 organizations with an annual organizational or project budget of less than $2 million. The program seeks to support organizations launching new projects, or working to establish or expand an international project or program. Organizations may request general operating support or project support, and generally the maximum grant award is $15,000. Read more about our Global Program here.
To submit an application, create a user name and sign in to our online application system by visiting www.seaif.org/apply. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Saturday, October 6, 2012.
Grant recipients will be announced at SIF's third annual Women in the World breakfast event in mid-November. Please stay tuned for details about this event. To learn about the 2011 breakfast, please click here.
If your organization applied previously and was not awarded a grant, you are eligible to reapply. If your organization was awarded a grant during Round 1 of SIF's 2012 Global Program, your organization is not eligible to apply at this time. Please inform your networks and colleagues of this opportunity.
Seattle International Foundation (SIF) was founded as a supporting organization to The Seattle Foundation for the purpose of increasing and enhancing international philanthropy and development efforts from the Pacific Northwest and to serve as a resource to our community. Established in 2008, SIF has awarded more than $8 million to over 60 organizations based in the Pacific Northwest working in over 30 countries.
