SIF announces call for applications for Round 1 of 2013 Global Program
The Seattle International Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2013 Global Program. The Global Program (small grants for local organizations) supports and fosters Washington state based organizations working internationally. SIF is interested in receiving applications for development projects in all regions of the world.
Preference will be given to organizations based in the greater Puget Sound region, and organizations based outside of Washington State are not eligible to apply. Please review our 2008-2012 grantee portfolios for more information on past grantees.
The program is open to 501(c)3 organizations with an annual organizational or project budget of less than $2 million. The program seeks to support organizations launching new projects, or working to establish or expand an international project or program. Organizations may request general operating support or project support, and generally the maximum grant award is $15,000. Read more about our Global Program here.
To submit an application, create a user name and sign in to our online application system by visiting www.seaif.org/apply. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Sunday, May 5, 2013. Grant recipients will be announced in summer 2013.
Past Grantees: Please keep in mind that future requests for funding are not eligible until SIF staff has received a final narrative report, financial statement, current IRS 990 form, and photos documenting the project funded. All final reports are due within three months of the project concluding, or within one year of the grant, allowing time for review by SIF staff prior to the next funding cycle.
If your organization applied previously and was not awarded a grant, you are eligible to reapply. If your organization was awarded a grant during Round 2 of the 2012 Global Program, your organization is not eligible to apply at this time.
Seattle International Foundation (SIF) was founded as a supporting organization to The Seattle Foundation for the purpose of increasing and enhancing international philanthropy and development efforts from the Pacific Northwest and to serve as a resource to our community. Established in 2008, SIF has awarded more than $8 million to more than 65 organizations based in the Pacific Northwest working to alleviate poverty in 38 countries.
