The Seattle International Foundation Announces its Second Grantmaking Round of 2010

The Seattle International Foundation is now accepting applications for Round 2 of 2010 for its Global Grants Program. The goal of the Global Grants Program is to support and foster local organizations working internationally. The Foundation is interested in development projects in all regions of the world, although it has a special interest in Central America. Preference will be given to organizations based in the greater Puget Sound region and organizations based outside of Washington State are not eligible.

The program is open to 501(c) 3 organizations, or those with fiscal sponsorship, with an annual organizational or project budget of less than $2 million. The program seeks to support organizations launching new projects, or working to establish or expand an international project or program. Organizations may request general operating support or project support, and generally the maximum grant award is $15,000. Please see our 2008, 2009, and 2010 grantee portfolio pages for examples of our past grantees.

If your organization applied previously and was not awarded a grant, you are eligible to reapply. If your organization was awarded a grant during round 2 of 2009, you are now eligible to apply again.  If your organization was awarded a grant during round 1 of 2010, you are not eligible to apply this round, but may apply during round 1 of 2011.

Organizations may download a PDF version of the Global Grants Program application by clicking here.

Applications must be postmarked by September 10, 2010 or hand delivered to SIF's office by 6 pm on September 10, 2010. Grant awards will be announced during autumn 2010. Completed applications and additional required materials should be postmarked by the deadline and sent to:
